The 10 essentials

As an avid hiker the 10 essentials list is very common topic. It is basically a list of things you should carry at all times for your hike. Depending on your location, weather and length of hike the ten essentials can change shape. I would write out for you what they are and how they look but honestly REI does such an amazing job with articles on everything from how to pack for the AT to how to choose a sleeping pad.
